harvestSimply and Profoundly Astounding
The Simply and Profoundly Astounding award will go to the entry that is so profound, that an adult wouldn't even think of it! That may sound a little scary - lets explain this a little further. Adults can be a little boring sometimes. They aren't always thinking about fanciful things, magical tales, or childhood fancies. It might be fun to 'astound' the adults and make them remember what it was like when they were kids!

The winner will receive Kris Waldherr's hardcover book, 'Harvest'. In this book, a young girl revels in wonder at the earth's ability to create a harvest. Your entry will also be posted and you will be featured on the web site, with your parents' permission.

thought spotThought Spot - Information for parents
"I should ask that her gift to each child in the world be a sense of wonder so indestructible that it would last throughout life, as an unfailing antidote against the boredom and disenchantments of later years, the sterile preoccupation with things that are artificial, the alienation from the sources of our strength. It is more important to pave the way for children to want to know than to put them on a diet of facts they are not ready to assimilate."
