Raspberry Leaf
One of the Richest Sources of Iron: Menstruation, Energy, Childbirth...
Raspberry is a highly nourishing reproductive tonic, providing nutrients that tone and strengthen the entire genitourinary system. One of the richest sources of iron, raspberry is used to replenish iron-poor blood and is often combined with nettle for anemia and related low energy levels. It is also a rich source of niacin and among the richest sources of manganese, a trace mineral used by the body to produce healthy connective tissue, such as bone matrix and cartilage, and an important factor in energy metabolism. As a tea or tincture, raspberry leaf is invaluable for treating diarrhea and dysentery. It helps reduce excessive menstruation and is one of the superior tonics for pregnancy and childbirth. Because of its astrigent properties, it is a good mouthwash for sore or infected gums. Use asa nutritive tonic when energy is low, when recovering from illness, and at times when an endocrine tonic is needed.

Hormone Balancer
Older women- whose breast lumps are quite sensitive to hormones-and menopausal women- whose breast lumps may be due to erratic hormone levels- agree that hormone-moderating herbs such as raspberry, chaste tree, motherwort, and licorice are wonderfully helpful. A daily dose is a cup or more of dried raspberry leaf infusion, 60-90 drops of chaste tree berry tincture, 25-50 drops of motherwort tincture, or a cup of licorice root tea.
