All Natural Moon Cloths
Made with Hemp Fleece and Naturally Dyed Cotton
These moon cloths are a green alternative to using paper feminine hygiene products. With the costs of pads and tampons hovering at $4-$5 a package, you can save quite a sum of money each year by using these reusable moon cloths during your moon time.
Designed and used for years by many, these cloths stay in place and are extremely absorbent. The hemp fleece, a natural anti-bacterial, is the white side and that is the side that should be placed against the skin. Maintains its' softness over years. Laundering Instructions
Until ready to launder you can soak pads in what we call a "moon pot" (a lidded container filled with cold water). Or you can "dry pail" your pads...just keep them in a lidded container with no water (or just toss them in the laundry hamper ...there really isn't that much mess involved). It's just a matter of personal preference. Either way, the pads will still come out clean. If soaking them, be sure to change the water daily. Some women utilize the soaking water as an extremely beneficial plant fertilizer ...something to try if you are interested in free, natural plant health!
To launder just wash in a regular wash cycle along with regular laundry (though it is recommended to not put them in with whites for obvious reasons). Can be dried in the dryer.
HOW TO REMOVE STAINS
Pre-soaking the cloths is the best way to avoid stains, allowing the cloths to dry will promote staining. In most cases, regular laundering will keep most pads stain free. If you do find staining, you can apply laundry detergent directly to the stain, give it a scrub, and regular laundering should take care of the rest.
