I painted this sunrise silhouette while I was filled with the excitement of a fresh new day ahead... I love that the people who are up early to enjoy this sunrise are all soaking it in together, a family walks together, a father takes his son out to explore the early morning dawn, a student walks to class, a mother out with her curious toddler... It is full of potential and interaction and souls intermingling.

This is an original canvas painting I created right after visiting Capers Island, SC. It is a magical little breaker island off the Carolina shore, and the best part is a spot on the shore called Boneyard Beach.
This beach is filled with the most amazing driftwood pieces you can ever imagine. As I snapped this picture of an enormous fallen tree, a storm was rolling in, giving the beach a mystical, spiritual feel... heavens mixing with ocean mixing with the wood... all tones of gray blending together so that very little separated one peice of matter from the next. Sand, wood, air, water... they all blended as one with no discernable edges... A bit like we all are, in real life, don't you think? All of us connected and not really that far apart from each other or the elements... if we can let our eyes relax a little and blur the lines... and go with our feelings. I hope this painting relaxes and soothes you as it soothed me. It literally rolled right off my brush as if it was meant to be.

I can feel my heart expand every single time I look at this piece. It fills me with love and a bright vantage point from which to start my day. It reminds me there is a lot more going on in time and space then just what I can *see* with my eyes. I painted this piece with absolute fascination and adoration for the deer that live in our backyard woods. They visit us every night and we have taken to leaving apples and seeds and cereal and other goodies out for them. It struck me how family oriented and deeply respectful these animals are for each other they really touch my heart.
This scene is of a family of deers taking a moonlit stroll under a gorgeous full moon. It is a cold night and a halo around the moon delights the deers. While the father keeps watch, the mother and children gaze at the moon, and the youngest one can't help but kick up his heels in joy.
I see this piece as the perfect print for all animal lovers, young and old, and for those that love the magic of a full moon and the wonder it creates.

This painting has such beautiful blue hues... it was inspired by a day on the beach with my children. As we walked away from a wonderful day digging in the sand by the ocean, I glanced back to our spot and saw the castle smiling back at me... It was a glorious full moon that night and I knew that our castle was still there, looking happily up at the moon, imprinted with the spirit of our play.
